Memories of my aunt mary, she is my Godmother... No matter where she is that's not changed ❤️ most my memories are when I was younger. .as a child I remember going to her house and she would make snacks for the kids and all my beautiful hair bows where made by her. She love children and was so generous and playful always. My brother Dan and I loved going to her house and playing. I remember riding hot wheels in her basement and going to the cabin ozarks I think. All of us goofing around and us all getting together until she moved to Florida then many many years would go by unfortunately but then I remember her (everyone) joy for baby Ryan how she loved being a mother. We had one only family trip to Florida. We couldn't wait to meet him. I was 12. She let us kids pile sand on her And lots boat rides.. she was on board with what ever us kids came up with. I love that she was playful ready to giggle.. again many years pass I'm now 41 I now live in her state. But my heart is broken life has taken a toll. I visit my aunt mary, she was the same as I'd remembered and still generous with her love her hair is just above her shoulders now and i have my own children now.. Zoe and Jackson only knew her for 5 short years but aunt mary was part of their life and I cherish that. They instantly fell in love with her. ..like all children do. She was so proud of all her children Aaron, Christa, Rachel, Ryan. She would light up when she tell me about their jobs and grandchildren pix. When I'd come to visit these past years residence and guest would tell how sweet she is.
We all are surprised and thought we have more time and like many, painfully myself included, covid stole a year a visits. So I feel bad it was a year I'd seen her. Seeing my aunt mary for the final time and missing her by few days has been so hard. But she actually looked so beautiful her hair was longer than it's been and that reminds me of what I remember as child her long hair. It was beautifully braided . Her skin was actually glowing and I had to look twice if Rachel or Christa had put lipstick on her but no all natural. They were full of color and mostly she was surrounded with her children. I know aunt mary knew because she looked so beautiful it showed on her She was surrounded with love.
My aunt mary love to get turtles and goodie packages from my mom her sister (cheryl aka aunt turtle) my mom shared with me mary and her got their ears pierced together and she would take my mom shopping. Also that she liked the oldies driving in the car.
Mary had few hamsters not at once lol but she enjoyed taking care and nurturing animals. She loved feeding the birds. That was her favorite spot by the birds. Mine too. when I would come when my kids were small they had a blast both would be so excited no matter that had a 2 hr drive. I'd say who want see aunt mary kids would squeal with delight they loved getting on her walker that had a seat. Mary tell them hop up. The facility was so tolerant bless them as my one year old would rearrange everything. They had cookies by door. I thought this was they reason they liked coming but when they would kiss n hug on her and play with her I knew they came for her. They love her so much and so do I. She has always been so good to me and I will cherish her. May god rest her and give her peace.
