Dear Bruce, Linda, Bev and Sandy, So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a nice man and always "Uncle Warren" to me. I enjoyed seeing him and Ruth on a few occasions when the visited my folks in NH. He lived and loved well. My condolences to Ruth and all of you. Love,Nancy

You were always there to support and encourage me. I will miss your weekly calls to find out how I (and my family) were doing. You were always interested in everything in our lives. Oh Papa...what can I say. You have always had nothing but kind words every time I saw you. No matter what the occasion you would always say "I am so glad to see you".
You would always be interested in how I was doing and how my job was going and just a sincere interest in myself and the kids. You where truly a "Dad in law" to admire and respect. What a great role model for all who knew you. I can only smile now to know I was one of the luckiest folks on earth because I got to know you and love you. I sure will miss that big smile and kind words but I know where you are and like I said...that makes me smile. missing you Papa Tracey
When Bev and I first got married we spent a couple of years(just before Jennifer was born) living with Warren and Ruth in Essex. Warren would always come down to our apartment and see if I could come out and play. We would work on the pool, work on the garden, in the yard, do woodworking, etc. We had a lot of fun times together. Those are memories I always remember.

My Papa lived an authentic life centered on his beloved wife, Ruth, and his (growing) family. I have so many fond memories of swimming in his pool in Essex, hearing stories of sitting on the kitchen counter watching Ruth cook, memorizing poems about blacksmiths for $10, visiting them in New Hampshire in the summer and Florida in the winter.
One of my fondest memories is visiting Papa and Ruth in the Keys by myself in the 9th grade. Papa was so excited to take me snorkeling to experience the beauty of the coral; being a novice, I swallowed too much salt water and threw up on the fish. :)
Papa was, and is beloved. He was a kind and generous man who never tired of singing the praises of his children and grandchildren. His love for us was deep and wide. As the oldest grandchild, I always wanted to make him proud.
Papa was a sincere soul, a giver, and a worrier--you could always count on Papa to worry on your behalf!
I love you, Papa. I will miss you so much. Rest peacefully. We will remember you always.

I remember when Sandy Sanford and I came and visited he sat me down to check me out to see if I was going to make the mark and be acceptable for Sandy and he gave me the what for and you better be... It was pretty intimidating. Well I guess I passed because here I am 33 years later. Mostly because Sandy is such a forgiving and loving person, which I feel she got from Papa. We Love you Papa and will miss you dearly.
Dad we miss you in everything we do, when I type on the computer I think of all your emails you sent all the time and when I see a tomato in the store I think of how you grew tomato's all the time in any state you lived in. Dad you left a lasting legacy and we miss you and love, Sandra
Papa was an amazing man. He always wanted and expected the best for his grand children and was very supportive. Also, never afraid to hold back his thoughts or opinions....which I respect and appreciate. I am so thankful and so very very lucky to have had him as my grandfather I know we will all be together again someday. I love you Papa! <3
