Evelyn was one of the last of her generation. She was born (Evelyn Piekut) in the "roaring twenties", survived the depression of the 30"s as well as World War II. She grew up in Chicago with 2 sisters (Florence and Dolores) and 2 brothers (Leo and Henry, who died at 12 years of age.) She married Cyprian Cyweski in 1946 and had her only son (Kenneth) in 1947. After Ken & I married in 1971, they moved to Phoenix. We followed in 1973 and were blessedly there when Ken's dad passed in 1974. She enjoyed her life in Phoenix. She belonged to the Lithuanian Club and went on trips to Hawaii and Mexico with friends. She worked at Motorola on computer chips some of which were used in automobiles (those voices telling you your door was ajar) and some even went into outerspace. She stayed in Phoenix until 1998 when she moved to Colorado to live with us. She was still quite active in Breckenridge with the Seniors club. She & I would go on a bus trip to Black Hawk (for gambling) almost annually. We even had a combined birthday party in 2000 (me turning 50 and her 80) that we called the "130th Birthday Party" In 2004, when Ken retired, we all moved to Tennessee. We were on a beautiful lake (Norris Lake) in North East Tennessee. However, we were more isolated and she didn't get out as much. But we did manage at least 1 trip to gamble for Kevin's 21st Birthday in Tunica Mississippi. She really loved the poker machines. When we sold our house in Tennessee in 2014, we relocated to Bradenton, Florida. She really started slowing down since she had a fractured pelvis. But she always greatly enjoyed her life. She made it to her 99th Birthday on 2/25 and enjoyed dinner out with her family. She will be sorely missed, but we know she's with her husband, sisters, brothers, etc looking down on us.
