Mary Jo Ramey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Jo Ramey, age 90, of Palmetto, Florida, was born June 6, 1927 in Owensville, Ohio and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 Formerly of Lancaster Ohio. Mary Jo was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Dresden, Ohio and retired as an Administrative Assistant for the corporate offices of Borden’s and Shoe Corporation. She is survived by sons, David (Sharon) Ramey of Ellenton, Florida, Doug ( Margie) Ramey of Marengo, Ohio, Daniel (Lynn) Ramey of Lewis Center, Ohio; and daughter Deborah Ramey of Palmetto , Florida; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and brother David (Janet) Williams of Mechanicsburg, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Leonard and Gladys Williams, brothers Edward and Donald Williams; sisters Laura Waby and Wilma Tumblin and two special nephews, Stephen E. Tumblin and William J. “Billy” Williams. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am Friday, Jan.19. 2018 at Immanuel United Methodist Church. Elida , Ohio with Rev Bruce Tumblin and Rev Thomas Tumblin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Visitation with family will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, of Palmetto, Florida or The Sarasota/Manatee Ohio State Alumni Association Scholarship Program.
