Shirley Wyatt, 82, of Bradenton passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was born to the late Carl Smith and Frances (Packer) Smith in 1934 in Bellefontaine, OH and raised by her late adoptive mother Louise Foster Maynard. Shirley graduated from Sarasota High School in 1952. As a young woman, she was a member of the cattlemen’s association and an avid horsewoman. She married Robert “Bob” Wyatt in 1961 and was married for 52 years before Bob passed in 2014. Over her life Shirley was a volunteer with the Oneco-Tallevast Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Southeast High School Marching Band Boosters and served on the Board of the Manatee Sarasota Fish & Game Association for many years. She worked with her Mother in her yarn shop and later spent twenty years working at the Manatee County Property Appraisers office. Shirley is survived by her children, Robert Wyatt, Jr., Gail Clem, Karen (Bill) Wilson and Kevin (Connie) Wyatt, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jean, Phyllis, Susan, and brother Richard.
