On Sunday, March 29th, 2020, Verna (Jacobson) Storm, loving wife of Gene Storm and mother of daughters Linda (Storm) Hoover and Karen (Storm)Kurtzweil , passed away at the age of 86. Verna was born on Jan. 13th, 1934 in Schofield, WI to Harold and Elizabeth (Dassler) Jacobson. On April 25th, 1953, she married the love of her life, Gene Storm. They raised two adoring daughters, Linda and Karen, and were blessed with two wonderful grandchildren, Cuthbert (Trisha) Rowland-Storm and Storm Kwick and two beautiful great grandchildren Cordelia and Toby Rowland-Storm. Verna also has an older brother, Jack (Carolyn) Jacobson and her extended family from her marriage to Gene. Plus many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gene and Verna lived in Wisconsin most of their lives together but started vacationing in Florida where their daughter Linda resided. They found they loved the Florida weather which led them to become snowbirds, which led them to Tidevue Estates in Ellenton, which then became their permanent home in 2004. Verna loved her Tidevue friends, many of which became like family to her. She was very involved in many aspects of the community, helping out where she could, which brought her great joy. Verna was adored by everyone she knew. She always had a smile and a hug to share with family and friends and loved to spend time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of having her in their lives. She was an angel on earth that God let us borrow for 86 years and now she is an angel back in heaven. She will live on in our hearts forever.
