Though I never had the privilege of meeting Uncle Suraj in person since long, I feel like I had been connected with him for all these days through Simmi — my chiodhood friend since our kindergarten days, who over the years has become a sister to me. Even as life took the family to the USA and me elsewhere, the stories, photos, and glimpses shared on Facebook made me feel connected all the time.
Aunty, I've been fortunate to stay in touch with you too over the years, and that closeness made me feel like part of the extended family from a distance. And watching Simmi's daughters Sana and Samira grow up through their posts has been such a joy — Sana's posts especially, with her adorable little one, Uncle Suraj's great-grandson, always brought a smile to my face and made me feel woven into the family's story, generation after generation.
Every photo, every post, told me what kind of man he was — full of warmth, faith, and love for the people around him. Seeing how many lives he touched, how many people called him a father, a mentor, an uncle, a pillar of strength, doesn't surprise me at all. That's exactly the impression I carried of him from afar, all these years.
Simmi, I may not have known your dad the way you did, but through you and your family, I came to admire him — his gentle spirit, his devotion, and the beautiful, loving family he raised, now carrying his legacy forward through Sana, Samira, and the little ones who will grow up hearing of his faith and love. My heart goes out to you, your mom, and your whole family during this time. May the memories of his love and faith bring you comfort, and may he rest in the peace of the Lord he served so faithfully.

Thanks to our LORD GOD , for SURAJ DALABHANJAN , fondly addressed as SURANNA. He is my Paternal first cousin . He is the eldest Grandson of of Rangappa Dalabhanjan Thatha . He has been the best among the 35 grand children .
He is known for his love , and for being an adorable CHRISTIAN , in WORD & DEED .
He had a good command of the URDU language and quote some good dialogues and Shayaris.
His wife our Bhabhi & Simmi , Sunder & family are very precious to us .
Suranna did leave us a legacy of Love to follow .
He is rejoicing in the presence of his SAVIOUR.

A tribute to my Uncle.
Uncle Suraj, I write this tribute on behalf of my mum Shalini-your cousin, my dad Noshir- your friend, Gougoush, Kersi, Shorrosh, Ritu, Sammy and all the kids (The Mody’s, The Bastawalas and The Dossabhoys). You were a strong spiritual father figure and a huge support to our entire family! You showed us to run the race for Jesus no matter what. You cared for my family and loved us like your own. My parents looked upto you for almost all advice for their life and marriage. You were a living example of Christ for us. I saw my dad’s reflection of salvation come through you and surely your hope of sharing this love has given my dad hope too. You stood by them always and prayed for us. Each time I spoke to you, you always mentioned about Sammy and me, about how much you loved us and are keeping us in prayers. You made deliberate time to visit me in Adelaide! The Maroon large print Bible which you gifted mum will remain a treasure for me. I remember how you shared your testimony with me from the book of revelation 3:14 about the Laodicea church - teaching me the dangers of being Luke warm. Just like my dad, I still feel your hand on my head praying for me…. Surely you’ve left your finger prints on me and my family. Although sad you’re not here now, but you’ve completed that race until your last breath and I see you now smiling with Jesus, my mum and dad.

We’ve become fond of Suraj and Susan since meeting them four years ago, becoming like family. In the times we spent together, we have enjoyed his humor, his wit, and his calming presence making being together relaxing and easy. My husband Bill enjoyed discussions with Suraj, about history among other things. I am most in awe of the Christlike example he set in how to grow old - gracefully, patiently, and calmly all the while showing the love he had for his Susan. My daughter would say how he was always so kindhearted, calm and sweet. May his legacy of faith and service to our Lord live on in the lives of his family and all those he touched and may his enduring love for Susan strengthen her. This pic was in April 2026. We will miss you dear brother but we shall meet again.

On behalf of Rev. Joshua Das, Manu Joshua Das, and the entire congregation of Seamands Memorial Methodist Church, New Town Yelahanka, Bangalore, we offer our heartfelt tribute to Rev. Suraj A. Dalabhanjan—a faithful servant of God, a loving spiritual father, and a man who beautifully reflected the love of Christ through his life.
We gratefully remember his visit to our church. His gentle presence, humility, warmth, and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression upon us. During that visit, he lovingly introduced Mr. John Singh, Anitha, and Jyotsna to our church family. Today, we thank God that they have grown strong in their faith and actively contribute to the life, ministry, and various activities of the church.
Rev. Suraj continued to take a personal interest in their spiritual growth. Even from a distance, he carefully followed their journey of faith, encouraged them, and prayed for them. His concern was not merely occasional; it was the loving care of a spiritual father who desired to see his children established in Christ.
We also cherish the way Rev. Suraj and his beloved wife regularly enquired about me, my family, and the congregation. Their assurance of constant prayer strengthened and encouraged us. During the period when Rev. Suraj was undergoing medical treatment, our church earnestly and continually prayed for him and his family. Though we grieve his departure, we are comforted by the assurance that he is now resting in the presence of the Lord whom he faithfully loved and served.
The Seamands Memorial Methodist Church family thanks God for the life and witness of Rev. Suraj A. Dalabhanjan. His legacy lives on through the many children he nurtured, the families he supported, and the lives he guided in matters of faith and spiritual growth. He stood beside many as a father, teacher, mentor, and prayerful companion.
Rev. Suraj did not merely speak about the love of Christ; he demonstrated it through compassion, humility, generosity, and faithful service. His life will continue to inspire us to love deeply, serve humbly, pray faithfully, and nurture others in the ways of Christ.
May the Lord comfort Mrs. Susan Dalabhanjan and the entire bereaved family. We praise God for the life of His faithful servant and rejoice in the blessed hope of resurrection and eternal life in Jesus Christ.
