Life and Legacy
Adelle Virginia (Ginger) Townsel February 8, 1935-March 9, 2019

Adelle Virginia Townsel was called home on Saturday,March 9,
2019 at Manatee Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. Join us as
we honor and remember the mighty soul we called moma and
grandmother.
Loved by many, Adelle was born in Ocala, Florida, February
8,1935 to Howard Sr. and Freddie Mae Taylor. Her brother and
sisters were Dolores, Harriet, Annie Jo and Howard Jr. Adelle
later moved to Bradenton Fl with her sisters Delores, Harriet, and
Annie Jo. While growing up in Bradenton, she met her future
husband, Lindell Townsel Sr (Sonny). Ginger was the
valedictorian of her class at Lincoln High School and attended
Florida A&M University on an academic scholarship where she
obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education.
Upon graduating from Florida A&M, she married Lindell Sr. They
were together for 29 years until his untimely death in1983.
Adelle worked for the Manatee County School Board for 28 years
as a school teacher. She spent the majority of her teaching with
kids of disabilities at James Tillman Elementary School. Upon
retirement she begin tutoring.
Grandma enjoyed ,roses, reading, tennis, game shows,
accessories and shoes; she pushed education, liked a nice cup of
coffee and loved everyone who entered her home.
Adelle is predeceased by her mother Freddie Mae Williams,
father Howard Taylor Sr, sister Harriet, husband Lindell Townsel
Sr., daughter Wenola Perkins(George), brother Howard Jr. and
grandsons George Perkins Jr., and Clinton Townsel.
She leaves behind 2 loving sisters Annie Jo (Richard);
Delores (Moses-deceased).
Adelle will continued to be lovingly remembered by her sons and
daughter, Lindell Townsel Jr. (Doretha),Anita Clemons(Randy),
Eric Townsel(Jacqulyn), and David Townsel(Carolyn).
Cherishing her memory are her grandchildren Christopher
Townsel, Nicole Perkins, Reggie Clemons, Cheri Dennis
(Ricardo),Eric Townsel Jr.(Pamela) Mandy Townsel, Erica Knight
(Ernest), Ashley Perkins, Randi Clemons, Tericka Townsel,
Michelle Brandt(Justin),Jasmine Hawkins(Brian),Ravyn Clemons,
Robyn Clemons, two sister n laws; (Sylvia (deceased) and Helen,
brother in law (Robert). Adelle’s cousins, nieces, nephews, 29
great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren will continue
to hold the memory of Adelle in the highest esteem and her
sacrifices and good will never be forgotten.
Her generous Spirit and personality was loved and will be missed
by many.
