Life can be unfair and sometimes unclear when such a tragedy occurs to a young life. Alan was a wonderful young man. He was always very respectful to others and had a smile that said "I'm enjoying my life". He worked hard in the classroom and was always on top of his science studies. He was a young man that I truly believed would go far. He was a true friend to others that didn't seem to judge them because their goals were not necessarily his; he accepted them for who they were. I'm going to miss this student and I'm going to miss watching him grow into a fine man. I will encourage others to be more like him and embrace life while we are here because life is short. I'm sure he is in a better place and I'm sure he will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace Alan..
