Alicia C. Amaro's Obituary
Alicia Amaro, 83, of Palmetto, passed away June 20, 2017.
She was born July 23, 1933, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to parents’ Susano & Susana
Cintron. After finishing High school in New York in 1952, she was reacquainted with
Ismael Amaro, her childhood friend from Puerto Rico, and were soon married. She
worked for First National City Bank, now Citibank, in New York City. Rising to the
rank of Bank Service Manager. After her retirement in the late eighties she would go
on to work for several art galleries. Upon her second retirement she settled in
Bradenton/Palmetto, Florida area where she enjoyed her love gardening and her fondness for animals, especially cats.
Alicia was loved by everyone that came closer to her.
She is survived by her son, Edwin, and daughter-in-law, Ana Maria Amaro.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Skyway Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10-11 am.
