Alma Rosetta Schmitgen's Obituary
Alma Rosetta Schmitgen, age 90, died peacefully with her daughters holding her hands on December 27, 2016 at her home in Palmetto after a brief struggle with health issues. Alma was born on March 1, 1926 in Corydon, IN. Alma spent her life being a caregiver to family and friends.
She is survived by her children Donna Schmitgen of Palmetto, FL, Linda (Rodney) Joiner of Blairsville, GA, Rick Schmitgen of Parrish, FL, Debbie (Tom) Hayes of Ellenton, FL and Randy (Kim) Schmitgen of Madison, WI; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Services will be held at Skyway Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00pm with visitation starting at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Tidewell Hospice, 4151 37th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221.
