Arthilla "Snooks" Lucier's Obituary
Arthilla (Snooks) Ruth Riggleman, Lucier 90, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away May 19, 2025, now in the arms of Jesus. Born on August 27, 1934, in Frontier, Michigan. Proceeded in death by her parents Howard Lee and Florence Eva Fraser Riggleman, her bother Stanley J Riggleman and her two sisters, Zelda Mae Robison and Robena Ann Lasley. She spent most of her life in Palmetto, Fl., where she found joy spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted Christian and loving mother.
A mother of six, Rodney Eckley (Barbara), Laura Moore (Denver), Karis Meier (Jim), Melody Sweetman Carpenter (Ralph Adamczyk), Eric Sweetman (Teresa), and Stepson Gary Sweetman (Linda).
She was a proud grandmother of (19) grandchildren, Caleb (Lindsey) Eckley, Lukess (Carrie) Eckley, Timothy Eckley, Tracy Ann Jeffrey, Erin (Steven) Grubbs, Kyle (Tina) Moore, Colt (Alexis) Sammons, Heath Sammons (deceased), Karissa (Jared) Whidden, Allen Litchfield (Ryann Griffin), Kara (Thomas) White, Brooke Howard, Erica (Mark) Bauman, Levi Sweetman, Garrett Sweetman, Joseph Harris, Jamie (Tyler) Jensen, Tessa (William) Pou, Chloe ((Geoffrey) West, 31 great grandchildren (1) great-great grandchild and mother to many foster children. She was known as mom to many.
Through the years Snooks home was always open, serving as a gathering place for family and friends. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. She was known for her crystal blue eyes and her beautiful smile. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and grandbabies.
She spent most of her childhood in Pioneer Ohio. She was a cheerleader at Pioneer High School. She moved to Palmetto, Florida where she was a homemaker, art store owner, mobile home sales business owner and hospital charting tech. She loved visiting her sister in Murphy, North Carolina, moved there for a couple of years and then returned to Florida. She loved singing, playing the organ and making her homemade cookies, potato salad and peanut butter pie.
A Celebration of Her Life is being planned for a later date.
