Arthur Gualtieri's Obituary
Art Gualtieri was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Italian immigrant parents and was the youngest of seven siblings. He became pastor of a small Italian church. He met and fell in love with a young nurse, Virginia, at the hospital where they both worked. They raised four children together. He dedicated his life in service to his Lord through pastoring, evangelism, and serving as a missionary in Thailand for 35 years. He loved the Lord with all his heart and his knowledge of the word is evident by the multiple markings in his bible. He loved to sing and often sang in churches, quartets, choirs, and Italian operas and hymns of the faith were his favorite music. After his beloved wife Virginia passed, he married Margaret Holmes, and they were blessed with 17 happy years together. Art is also survived by his loving children: Beth Gualtieri, Ruth Geary (Fred), Paul Gualtieri, and John (Sharon) Gualtieri; Cherish grandchildren: Justin (Tara) Goff, Micah (Diana) Goff, Jenna (Dan) Crichlow, Rachel (Barry) DeGraaf, Daniel Geary, Nathaniel Gualtieri, And Brittany (Drake) Dunn); adored great grandchildren: Christopher Goff, Arlo Goff, and Abraham Crichlow; and a host of other family and friends. We are rejoicing that though he is now absent from the body, he is present with his Lord forever. Graveside service will be Tuesday February 14, 2023 at 11am at Skyway Memorial Gardens 5200 US Highway 19 Palmetto, FL 34221.
