Barbara R. Baxter's Obituary
Barbara R. Baxter, 78, passed away July 1, 2014. She was born August 17th, 1935 in St. Albans, West Virginia to the late Frank and Lena (Bowles) Rupe. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Douglas Baxter.
Barbara came to Manatee County in 1997 from St. Albans, West Virginia. She spent her career as a nurse for 30 years. She retired from CAMC (Charleston Area Medical Center). Barbara enjoyed NASCAR and the Tampa Bay Rays baseball.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard Harris and his wife Carrie of Scott Depot, WV and grandson, Andrew Harris and his wife Whitney of Nitro, WV.
