Barbara Ellen Felton's Obituary
Barbara Ellen Felten, 66, of Bradenton, FL passed away January 21, 2016. Barbara was born in Ole Town, Maine to the late: Norman and Florence Priest Smith. At the age of 15, Barbara met and fell in love with Robert L. Felten, as the result of a dare at the local dance hall. They moved to Florida 22 years ago. Over the course of her lifetime, she held many positions of employment, including real estate agent, caregiver during the final stages of dying, working with Sikorsky Air during the Vietnam War, and was the proud owner/operator of her own fabric and bridal store, where she designed and made the most beautiful wedding gowns and quilts. Barbara loved her designer shoes and “freefalling” her father’s plane. Barbara was a forgiving individual with a heart of gold. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious smile. Barbara adored her family and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert “Bob” Felten, of Bradenton, FL, daughters; Linda (Mike) Khouri, of Bradenton, FL, Yvonne (Brad) Jones, of Sarasota, FL, “adopted daughter” she considered her own, Pamela Jean Davis, of CT, sister, Lee (Vincent) Morelli, of Ellenton, FL, niece, Stephanie Morelli, of Bradenton, FL, grandchildren; Jolene (Keenan) Clay, Abigail Khouri, Chloe Khouri and many friends.
A graveside service has been scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Kingdom Hall on 26th St. in Bradenton at 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2016.
