Barbara Marlene Savage's Obituary
Barbara M. Savage, 67, of Ellenton, FL, passed away April 4, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born in Ashland, Ohio and moved to Bradenton 32 years ago from Lake County. Barbara worked in the deli department for Publix in Leesburg, for many years. She attended Mansfield Business College in Ohio and received her Bachelor’s degree in business. Barbara enjoyed her plants, flowers, listening and watching the birds and working puzzles. She was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, with Dale Earnhardt as her favorite driver. Above all, came her love for her family and grandchildren. Barbara was a loving, kind, beautiful woman who will be deeply missed.
Barbara is survived by her sons: Shawn (Angela) Savage, Johnny (Darcia), Savage, III, daughter, Rachel (Greg) Savage, brother, Chuck (Donna) Fryman, Linda (Mike) Hickey, grandchildren, Travis Reeves, Ethan Reeves, Crystal Savage, Gracie Savage, Christopher Savage, Erik Savage, Aiden Savage. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Carl Victor and Grace Eleanor Grossen Fryman, husband, John Savage, II (September 3, 2015) brother, David Fryman, sisters; Joann Kinney and Lisa Fryman.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 3:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather at 3:00 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skyway Memorial Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.skywaymemorial.com
