Bonnie Kay McConnell's Obituary
Bonnie Kay McConnell, loving wife, devoted mother and doting Nene went home to be with Jesus on September 22, 2022. Bonnie was born at home in Cameron, West Virginia to the late George William and Allie Elizabeth (Blake) Sampson on October 6, 1949. She grew up in Steubenville, Ohio and graduated from Big Red High School. She was married to her beloved husband Charles L McConnell, Jr. for 52 years and together they had three children, Cynthia L (Rick) Skidmore, Charles C McConnell and James Bradford (Nicole) McConnell. Bonnie had nine siblings and was preceded in death by seven of them : Bill, Barb, Betty, George, Jim, Sam, and Bob. She is survived by her sister, Sue and brother, Mike. She loved that she was the seventh child born, the child of heaven. She was Nene to her grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, Gabe, Ian, Beckah, Scout, Isaac, Eleanor, and Bennett. Bonnie was very involved in church ministries including choir, women’s ministry, and most especially Joyful Hearts Puppet Ministry. She loved being involved in Leisure Lakes Park Activities including basket weaving, bingo, Luncheons, coffee hour, movies, and dancing. She loved to associate with people and will be greatly missed.
