Brenda Circharo's Obituary
Brenda Yolanda Circharo (née Dykxhoorn), age 64, of Bradenton, Florida, made her journey to Heaven on December 6, 2025, surrounded by her family and showered in love.
Brenda was born on June 29, 1961, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to James Dykxhoorn and Tena Dykxhoorn (née Korendyk). She grew up alongside her nine siblings: Henny, Judy, Jack, Lucy, Marilyn, Renee, Darleen, Marleen, and Jeff. She was a devoted and loving mother to her four children—Anthony, Christopher, Vincent, and Marisa and their spouses Brittany (née Nelms), Samantha (née Johnson) and Benjamin Carpenter—and a proud Oma to eleven grandchildren: Ethan, June, Jack, Warner, Gracelyn, Madilyn, Wesley, Colton, Aubrey, Adelyn, and Analie.
Brenda graduated from Bradenton Christian School, where she played basketball, and was a lifelong member of Bradenton Christian Reformed Church. There, she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, and a warm and generous source of hospitality to many. Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life, and through her quiet strength, servanthood spirit, and unwavering loyalty to her family, friends, and values, she brought her children, their father, and many others to know and walk with Christ.
She loved music, spending time with family and friends, and instilling her values in her children and grandchildren. Brenda had a deep appreciation for nature—especially sunsets, the water, and trees and flowers, red roses in particular. She was most at peace sitting quietly on her porch in the mornings and evenings.
Brenda worked as a dietary technician at Manatee Memorial Hospital and, most recently, served as the office manager at Stillman’s Tree Service, a role in which she took great pride.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, at Bradenton Christian Reformed Church. She will be laid to rest beside her father at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, Florida.
