Carmelina Rose Stapleton's Obituary
Carmelina Rose Stapleton, 81, of Palmetto, Florida passed away on July 4, 2022, at Bradenton Hospice House. Born in Syracuse New York, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Grace (Muratore) Stillitano. She was a member of the graduating class of St Anthony’s School, class of 1958. Moving to Florida in 2001, she was an active member at St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, Parrish. She married and raised her family and was established in the insurance arena as a sales and marketing agent. She enjoyed cross country skiing, gardening, flower arranging, bible studies with her ladies from the church and spending time with her grandchildren, who she deeply adored.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Rachael Osborne and her brother-in-law. Donald Osborne and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Detota.
She will be remembered and missed by her devoted husband of 58 years, James F. Stapleton; her loving children, Tom (Christine) Stapleton and Theresa (Kevin) Fox; her adored grandchildren, Ashley Fox, Nick Fox, Brett Stapleton, and Dan Stapleton; her brothers, Thomas (Lorry) Stillitano and William Stillitano; her brother and sister in law, John and Joan Stapleton and her many nieces and nephews.
Private services are being held in New York. Per her wishes, she would like donations made to St Jude Children Research Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Skyway Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, Palmetto. www.skywaymemorial.com
