Catherine C Truman's Obituary
Catherine Caroline Truman, 91, of Bradenton, went home peacefully to her Savior after a long life of faithful service. Born in Deer Park, WA, she was the daughter of the late David Samuel and Ella (Hathaway) Baker. She met her future husband during her college years earning her bachelor’s degree. Cathy married Cliff and raised their five children. Together, they did 40 years of mission work in Chile through the Gospel Mission of South America. Settling in Florida in 2001, they became members of Evangel Baptist Church. She had an artistic side; creating many paintings that she shared with family and friends.
Her spirit will remain with her faithful husband of 68 years, Clifford J. Truman; her beloved children, Richard (Karen) Truman, Royal (Petra) Truman, Loren (Kathy) Truman, Charlene "Kitty" (Anthony) Powell, and Joy (Tim) Miles; her cherished grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; her loved sister, Sharon Holt. Cathy will be privately laid to rest in Skyway Memorial Gardens and a public Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11am at the Rossi Center in il Villaggio Homes of Bradenton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Gospel Mission of South America, 1401 SW 21st Avenue, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33312-3180 to help carry on the work that meant so much to her. Arrangements entrusted to Skyway Memorial Gardens.
