Oh Mike, I am so sorry to read about my dear friend, Claire. She & I spent our 12 school years together at Jesus Mary Academy in Fall River, Mass. In 9th grade my family moved one block from her home. We did so many things together and with our classmates. We continued to have annual reunions even in Florida. We have always been proud members of the class of 1956!
She & I shared many laughs about our present and past lives.
Amazingly, in the past couple of weeks, she was so often in my thoughts & memories! I am sincerely sending my sympathy to you and the family. Please have some masses said for her with the money in the card I'm about to send. Pauline

How hard to choose just 'a memory' Claire was the older sister that helped to form us Foley sisters. She took the time to make many memories at Anawan Stables and Seekonk Raceway, and all those trips to Horseneck beach. Although I moved away every trip back home included a visit to Mike & Claire as so much good fun and laughs could be had there. You will always be among my best memories.

Being the youngest of her Foley cousins, Claire was like another big sister to me. She was always there for me from our young days in Fall River to helping Paul and I find our first apartment in E.P. Every visit to Claire and Mike brought so much fun, such great wine and that Portuguese food for my husband, Paul. So sorry for your loss.

My cousin Claire was a most generous, wise and loving person. From introducing me to Elvis’ music, to Sunday drives in her ‘57 Chevy, she was the older cousin everyone hoped for! After giving me the privilege of being her maid-of-honor, we continued to share and mingle our families: from the birth of her son, Michael to sharing Michael’s spirit (and toys! And pool!!) with my two!

Though separated by miles at some points, our hearts and spirits were always joined ( why else would she keep naming her precious dogs Suzie!) From zigging and zagging to special restaurants in Bradenton, to texting (yes, we old ladies texted) ongoing photos of our respective grandchildren, our love for each other never faded.

I will miss you, my beautiful cousin; but your memory will forever nourish my spirit. Thank you for being such a presence in my life. Love you.
