Danielle is survived by; her mother Valerie Girrens, father Conrad Girrens, brother Dylan Girrens, whom she affectionately called “Hotdog”, grandmother June Walker, grandfathers; Clyde C Girrens and Wayne Wihbey, step-grandmother Leslee Wihbey, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Beautiful Disaster (written by Jamie McGuire) was Danielle’s mantra (and tattoo). One side Beautiful …colorful for her fun loving, carefree personality and the other grey, for all her struggles….Disasters.
She was devoted to helping others in their recovery by sharing her story. Danielle was planning to complete cosmetology school this year and set a goal to open her own salon in 5 years. She loved animals and even wanted to be a veterinarian as a teen. Recently Danielle saved a kitten “Kiki” she found wandering on the side of the road and left it with her mother to care for while she was away. Kiki will always be a memory of Danielle in her parents’ home.
Danielle could “light” up a room with her enthusiastic smile; it was infectious. She loved catching a ride with her father Conrad in his ‘68 Firebird. Danielle loved her Aunt Jackie who always had “her back” and gave her life many, many fun filled moments.
Danielle spent her life: going out to the beach to catch a few rays, going fishing with friends, watching the Cowboys score a touchdown, riding Horses, collecting Marylin Monroe photos, eating twizzlers and having one of her favorite drinks - a Moscow mule (vodka and ginger beer).
Danielle loved sharing her life with her Mother and family who never, ever gave up on her. Danielle would call or text with “the beautiful” and “the disasters”. They would devise a plan to resolve or celebrate!!
