Diane Ann Dowling's Obituary
Diane Ann Dowling was born on June 10, 1956, in Bradenton, Fl to Gladys Thomas Rice, and Eddie Axon who both preceded her in death. She lived a life marked by faith, service, love, dedication, kindness, and was deeply cherished by all who knew her.
Diane became a member of the Pentecostal Church of God where she gave her life to Christ. For more than 20 years, she worked at Tropicana as a Grader. Diane enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She was also a devoted grandmother, raising five of her grandchildren and selflessly dedicating the later years of her life to caring for her mother until her passing.
On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the clock stopped, and time stood still for Diane as the good Lord called her home. We will miss her dearly, but we know we will see her again.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Nathaniel Dowling.; her siblings Theodore Thomas, Leonard Williams, and Johnny Goodman (Delphine).
She leaves to cherish her memory, one beloved aunt, Juanita Hines; two sisters: Veleta Dewalt, and Cynthia Washington (Wayne); one brother: Michael Axon; two daughters: Johnita Murray, and Tiara Cheaves; one son, Roy Murray Jr.; one stepdaughter: Von Dowling. Thirteen grandchildren: Jana’e Murray, Jamal Murray, Michael Mays, M’iquez Mays, Jah’Mari Mays, Shanya (Shakari) Austin, Jalonie Murray, Marquese Mays, De’Ryan Lopez, Zion Murray, Marcellus Mays, Major Mays, and Terrance Mays. Two great-grandchildren: Shakari Austin Jr., and Trinity Austin. Special Cousins: Lue Watson, William Oates (Elaine), Carolyn Houston, Dorothy Thomas, and Larry Hicks. Special friends: Lois Lawernce, Pearl Calhoun, Yvonne Stewart, and Sadie Mosley, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
