Donald Skene Flowers Jr.'s Obituary
Donald Skene Flowers Jr., 69, of Bradenton, passed away April 9, 2017.
Born April 12, 1947, in Bradenton, he was the son of the late Donald and Dorothy Flowers Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sister Diane.
Mr. Flowers was a native of Bradenton and graduated from MHS in 1965. After two years at the Presbyterian College in SC, Don served in the US Air Force and later at the NSA. Returning back to Florida, Don continued his studies at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. After graduating in 1987, he worked alongside his father as a Pharmacist at Foster Drug Store in downtown Bradenton.
Don was known for his love of learning, great conversation, and devotion to family and friends. He was not ashamed to share his faith in Christ nor did he hide his eager anticipation for His soon return!
He is survived by his niece, Carolyn Tackett, of Hendersonville, NC, and his nephew Robert George, of Palmetto;
A celebration of life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Bradenton on Saturday, April 15, at 11:00 am.
