Rev. Donald R. Nicholson

The Rev. Donald R. Nicholson, Vicar of St. Raphael’s Church, Ft Myers Beach passed away peacefully, Monday, August 10, 2015. A former Marine, he graduated from George Washington University and from Berkley Divinity School at Yale in 1964. Throughout his life, Fr. Nicholson was active in the Episcopal Church including his time as a ship’s captain in the Virgin Islands, Baltimore, MD and Travers City, MI. He is survived by his wife Beverly Hunt and children Heather Nicholson, Mark Nicholson, Robert Lincoln, Danforth Lincoln, Susan Peck, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The service for Fr. Nicholson will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Bradenton on August 28, 2015 at 5:00 pm. A celebration of life will follow at St. Raphael’s in Ft Myers Beach with date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church.
