Mr. Douglas Frank Payne's Obituary
Douglas “Doug” Frank Payne, 61, of Arcadia, FL, passed away on February 23, 2017, at Tidewell Hospice in Arcadia. Doug was born in Punta Gorda, FL on June 26th, 1955 and raised in Charlotte, Hardee, and DeSoto counties.
Doug worked as a Diesel Mechanic and Welder for the Norris family for many years. He enjoyed fishing and competing in Bass Fishing Tournaments along with working in his yard and spending time with family and friends. Doug was an extremely talented mechanic and carpenter who was also very knowledgeable in the field of agriculture. He was a kind man who was always willing to help anyone in need.
Doug is survived by his sons Douglas Payne Jr., Clint Payne, Jason Payne, and his daughter Stacey Payne all of Florida; Brothers Lee E. (Aurilee) Payne and Steven C. Payne also of Florida; Sister Shirley “Nita” (Burt) Stickle of San Antonio, TX; Nephews Steven F. (Kim) Payne of Arcadia, FL and Joseph W. (Sky) Payne of Bradenton, FL, and many other family and friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Shirley and Glen Payne; Brothers Guy and Glen “Butch” Payne and Nephew Michael “Mike” Payne.
