Dwight L. Pierce Jr.'s Obituary
Dwight L. "Bud" Pierce, Jr., of Parrish, FL passed away on January 29, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bud was born in Staten Island, NY to the late; Dwight L. and Marie Anne E. Dubois Pierce, on June 27, 1943. He graduated from Oxford High School and then proudly served in the US ARMY. He continued his education and received his bachelor’s degree from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. He worked and retired as a Sr. Account Representative from Roadway Express and later enjoyed working as an Employment Counselor for the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center in Columbia, TN. Bud was renowned for his fun-loving spirit and outgoing personality. He was a lifelong New England Patriots fan, an avid card player and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

"Bud" Pierce, Jr. is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Pierce, of Parrish, his daughters; Karen Brown and Brenda (John) Fields, both of Bradenton, FL, sisters; Marilyn Anne Pierce, of Worcester, MA, Suzanne Peters (Stephen) Sullivan, of Brewster, MA, Rosemarie Pierce (Maurice) Marcotte, of Redondo Beach, CA, grandsons; Daniel Brown, Christopher Fields, and Eric Fields; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors is scheduled for 3:00p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home, Palmetto, FL. Online condolences can be made at www.skywaymemorial.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice at www.tidewellhospice.org.
