Edith Harlacher's Obituary
Edith Golding Harlacher, 99, of Bradenton, FL (formerly Fort Myers, FL) passed away May 16, 2024. She was born on October 16, 1924 in St. Dennis, MD to Warren and Matilda Golding. Edith moved to the Fort Myers area in 1950, married Daniel Harlacher, Jr. in 1951and stayed to raise her family there. She retired from Lee Co.Schools after a 23 year career, first as a substitute teacher/librarian and 20 years as textbook manger for the school district. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband and son, Daniel Harlacher, III. Survivors include her children, Thomas Harlacher (Bradenton, FL) and Amy Smith (Bradenton, FL), her grandchildren & families, Sierra Butler (Bradenton, FL), Aeriel McCann, (Deltona, FL)and Brant Harlacher (Fort Myers, FL); and her great grandson, Bennett Butler. She loved her family dearly, including many nieces and nephews. We love and will miss you, Edie, Mom, Grandma, Gigi. A private memorial service will take place on a later date in Fort Myers.
