Edrie Murphy, 92, of Palmetto Fl passed away Tuesday September 13 2022.
She was born in Syracuse NY to Harold J Blankman and May Van Keuran. Her husband of 66 years, James A Murphy, passed away in April 2022.
Edrie is survived by Sons: Mark (Kama) Murphy of Summerville, SC, Matthew (Marcella) of Old Fort, NC, John (Teresa) of Laguna Niguel, CA; daughter Susan Murphy of Augusta, GA; sister in law Dorothy of Fayetteville AR; grandchildren: Michael of Myrtle Beach, SC, Taylor (Mary) of Augusta, GA, Kaitlyn (Alex) of Culver City, CA, Jessica of Pasadena, CA, Nora Murtha (James) of Burke, VA, Julie Echevarria (George) of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren: Connor, Adelynn, and Donovan; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Edrie grew up in Mattydale NY and spent most of her adult life in Cicero NY and Chittenango NY before retiring to the west coast of Florida. She enjoyed traveling, walking at the beach, watching the beautiful local sunsets, shopping and spending time with friends. She actively participated in many of her local communities' social functions, fundraisers and activities. Her greatest joy was the time she got to spend with her family.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held for Edrie and James on Friday October 14 2022 at 11 am at Skyway Memorial Gardens Palmetto Fl.
