Elisabeth Colen's Obituary
Elisabeth Colen, 79, passed away May 7th, 2014.
Elisabeth was born March, 9th 1935 in Forchheim, Germany to George and Barbara Freund.
Mrs. Colen and her husband, Chuck, moved to Bradenton, FL in 1972. They met in Germany during Chuck's U.S. Army deployment to Munich. They fell madly in love and were inseparable until his death in 1999.
Her family will miss her dearly. She was the source of seemingly endless kindness and love. Christmas will never be the same without her bratwurst and glazed butter cookies.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory Daughters- Ruth (Keith) Brigner of Sarasota, Debbie (Chuck) Polis of Bradenton. Sister- Rose Jack of Arizona. Brother- Micheal Freund of Germany. Six Grandchildren- Joshua, Jayme, Steven, Daniel, Chaz, and Amber. Five Great Grandchildren – Sky, Cooper, Owen, Barrett, and Evan.
Mrs. Colen was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck and eldest daughter Barbara (Rick) Mullins. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is once again in the presence of her loving husband and beautiful daughter.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to March of Dimes.
