Ellen Christine Groh, will always be "Miss Groh" to me. From fall of 1968 to fall of 1970, she was my dorm mother in the girls dormitory at Detroit Bible College. She was the first adult in my life, that showed a genuine interest in me. I did everything I could to bend the rules, push her buttons, and violate my curfew. She always heard me come in no matter how quietly I tiptoed up the stairs, (3 flights). She was a pro when it came to combining discipline and love. I'll never forget how it made me feel...knowing that she cared. I didn't keep up with her over the years, but I never forgot what an important person she was in my life at that time. If anyone is deserving of eternal rest, it's my Miss Groh.
