Cristaldi, Filippa Erminia's Obituary
Filippa Erminia Cristaldi, age 83, of Parrish, FL passed away unexpectedly of a cardiac arrest on September 10, 2024. She was born on December 14, 1940, an only child, to Carmelo and Rosa (Aquilina) Cristaldi. Filippa was raised in Italy and Venezuela and then immigrated to the United States in 1966. Filippa resided in NJ, NY, CA, VA, and TN before retiring to Florida in 2007 from her 25 year employment at the Department of Commerce. Survivors include her children, Joseph (Ana) Siligato, Carmelo (Theresa) Siligato, and Sandra Siligato; grandchildren, Luigi, Olivia, Sophia, and Gabriella; and her canine companions, Cielo and Saint.
Filippa's words were wise and comforting in any of her fluent languages: Italian, Sicilian, Spanish and English. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, and latin soap operas. Filippa was a very devout Catholic who spent hours in daily prayer. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, who always extended a helping hand to all. She was full of kindness and compassion, and her smile and laughter were a source of joy to all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be sent to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission Church at 16650 US-301, Wimauma, FL 33598 (telephone # 813-633-2384) where Filippa's memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11am.
