Frances Onesti's Obituary
Frances “Sisinella" Onesti
BRADENTON, Frances Onesti, 83, died unexpectedly on May 15, 2020 at Tidewell Hospice in Lakewood Ranch. She was born May 11, 1937 in Italy, daughter of Vittorio and Lucia (Mirra) Cubicciotti.
Everybody called her "Mamma". She had the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She made you feel safe, loved and happy. Despite how many times she was knocked down or made to endure things in life that no one should, she just kept coming back; caring more and loving more—opening herself up to even more pain. It was the only way she knew how to live.
For your wisdom, your humor, tenderness and compassion, your understanding, your patience and your love; your family thanks you.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband, John Onesti at Skyway Memorial Park on Monday, May 18, 2020.
Frances was married and a loving homemaker with four children. She loved gardening and cooking and caring for her children. “Mamma” would walk into any room, hospital, rehab, or restaurant and immediately would smile and talk to everyone as if she knew them her whole life. She was a member at the Fellowship of Believers.
Frances is predeceased by her husband John Onesti, sister Carmela Mignano and her mother Lucia Cubicciotti. She is survived by daughter Claudia Pertasoff and husband Bruce, Tina Scarpino and husband Frank, Mina Luciano and husband Tony, and son Vincenzo Onesti and wife Marina Onesti. Grandchildren Jon Onesti, Tina Marie, David, Francesca, Matthew, Leila and Lana along with great grandchildren Max and Leo.
A service of remembrance will be Monday, May 18th at 2:00PM at Skyway Memorial 5200 US Hwy 19 N Palmetto, Fl 34221 In lieu of flowers, the family requests making donations to Suncoast Blood Bank.
