Frank "Rusty" Tona's Obituary
Frank “Rusty” Russell Tona, 52, passed away October 26, 2014. He was born May 8, 1962 in Clearwater, Florida to Donna Tona and the late, Carl Nasworthy.
Rusty moved to Manatee County in 1985 from St. Petersburg and was a Christian. He was clearly born to be a dad and loved spending time with his kids. He spent his career being a firefighter and later a fire investigator. For fun Rusty was a former clown and thespian. He loved to entertain. He also enjoyed writing and was a big movie buff.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 4 ½ years, Michelle “Shellie” Tona; children, Nathaniel, Margaret and John Tona all of Bradenton, Florida and Zachariah Colbert (Chelsea) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Helen Anna Leigh Colbert and Michael Bryan Colbert; brothers, Mark Nasworthy (Irene) , David Nasworthy (Penny), Joel Nasworthy (Mark), Matt Nasworthy (Amy), Tony Stevens (Kelly), Michael Stevens (Mercedes), Troy Carter (Denise), Vince Skinner (Lynne), Robert Morris and Eddie McKie; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service, Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Skyway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 5200 US Highway 19 N., Palmetto, Florida 34221.
