Fred Skinner's Obituary
Fred Skinner died 12/28/22 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Fred and Viola Skinner born 3/28/1938 in Conway South Carolina. After high school Fred joined the army and was with the 82nd Airbourne with rank of Sargent. He trained soldiers to jump out of planes in war zone. Leaving the army, he moved to New York City and attended Peter Drueben Upholstery and Art School. Fred moved to Sarasota Florida in 1964 and worked as an artistic carpenter. Fred in 1970 met Katherine and 1972 married Fred. He leaves behind wife Katherine and two daughters Stephanie and Tracy; seven grandchildren Alicia, Alexa, Gabby, Abigail, Victoria, Brandy, Jill; and 5 great grandchildren: David, Paris, Faith, Jayden, and Mya. Visitation will be Saturday January 7, 2023 from 11am-12pm with a service beginning at 12pm at Skyway Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 5200 US Highway 19 Palmetto, FL 34221. .
