Freeman E. Helmuth's Obituary
Freeman E. Helmuth, 87, passed away November 29, 2014. He was born June 14, 1927 in Attica, New York to the late John and Elizabeth (Miller) Helmuth. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elnora; siblings, Harvey, Fred, Mary, Alta, Ervin, Alvin, Martha and Cora.
Freeman was a carpenter and relocated to Sarasota in 1978 from Alden, New York. He was a member of Bahia Vista Mennonite Church and enjoyed hunting, bowling and wood working.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Terry Helmuth and his wife Gloria of Ashville, North Carolina and Dean Helmuth and his wife Regina of Enon Valley, Pennsylvania; daughter, Laurie Zook and her husband Vernon of Sarasota, Florida; sister, Edna Bozer of Sarasota; grandchildren, Bruce, Tracey, Chad, Jessica, Amanda, Crystal, Shauna and Rochelle; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Cheyenne, Makayla, Colton, Jackson, Kinsley, Peyton and Grayson.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Bahia Vista Mennonite Church, 4041 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota, Florida 34232. Funeral will begin at 11:00 AM followed by interment in Palms Memorial Park.
