George Henry Carter's Obituary
George Henry Carter, Jr., 85, of Bradenton, Fl and Waterbury, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Bronson) Carter.
George was born June 13,1938 in Waterbury, CT to Dorothy and George Carter II. He was in the US Navy in the 60’s and made a career, with his wife, as owner of East End Furniture and Appliance in Waterbury before retiring to Florida.
He leaves behind, his children, Beverly (Terence) Hickey, of Bradenton, FL; Linda (Robert) DiNino of Waterbury, CT; and David Carter of Harwinton, CT; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, as well as his brother-in-law, Martin Dowler and his favorite cousin, Eileen Eichler. George will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
George was predeceased by his oldest son, Donald Carter and his sister, Janet Dowler.
Private services will be at a later date.
