Gerald Ralph Ensminger's Obituary
Gerald Ralph Ensminger, known to his family and friends as Sonny, passed away on June 5th, 2021 at the age of 76. Sonny was born in Painesville, Ohio to Gerald and Lula Ensminger on December 23rd, 1944. After finishing high school, Sonny served his country in the Army for 4 years. Upon returning from the service he started his own family drywall business, working with his brother and eventually his son for over 50 years. Sonny had a passion for collecting things, from antiques, coins and Indian figurines. He also had a love for cars, anything from the mechanical to racing. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Maryann, 2 sons Dwayne, Frank (Shelli his wife) his daughter Linda Ensminger, grandson Ethan Lowry and most recently a great grandson Jasper Lowry, also his sisters Janice Stewart, Aretta Cottrell and Kay Parsons. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Linda Ensminger, Carolyn Jean Ensminger, and his brother William (Billy) Ensminger.
