Glen Allen Thompson's Obituary
Glen Allen Thompson, of Bradenton, FL passed away on June 27, 2022. Our Heavenly Father called him home and he journeyed into eternity with his children by his side. He was 70 years old.
Our dad was one-of-a-kind. He could fix anything and if he didn’t know how he would persevere until he figured it out! This may explain why he rounded out his 30-year telecommunications career in network reliability & technical support. He was the person his colleagues came to with switching problems that needed solving.
One of the many wonderful gifts Glen brought to our lives was laughter and a great sense of humor. It's said that laughter is such good medicine for the soul. Well, our dad gave out that medicine freely and often spontaneously.
Glen was a lover of his family and like any great dad he sacrificed so his children could live. He leaves behind his beloved son, Rodney A. Thompson; beloved daughter, Lindsay McCorkle; son-in-law, George McCorkle; granddaughter, Hallie Grace McCorkle; sister, Diane (Mike) Moore, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. His beloved wife, Alison Thompson; infant son, Wade Thompson; mother, Inez Thompson; and father, Corbet Thompson preceded him.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. Condolences and memories may be shared at skywaymemorial.com.
