Gregg A Richardson's Obituary
Gregg Alan Richardson, 9/4/1959 to 7/11/2022, age 62 of Bradenton, Florida died at Tidewell Hospice House after a battle with lung cancer. Gregg was born to Wayland and Joan Richardson in Adrian, Michigan at Bixby Hospital.
After Gregg graduated from Bayshore High School in Bradenton, 1977, Gregg went on to study small engines in Tecumseh, Michigan. Gregg’s first job was at Heather Hills Golf Course in Bradenton, working with his Uncle Cliff. He continued with his love of golf course employment continuing with Sara Bay Country Club finishing his career at Cheval Country Club of Lutz, as a golf course superintendent. He belonged to the GCSAA throughout his career.
In 1978, Gregg met his wife, Julie in Bradenton. Gregg and Julie went on to have three children, Ronald (Elizabeth), Kimberly, and Laura (Derrick). He had five grandchildren, Kaleb(Brooke), Ahlylah, Holden, Liam and Julisa along with one great grandchild, Braelynn.
Gregg spent his free time playing golf and even had a hole in one he was proud of. He was a very social being and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was very active at Whitfield Presbyterian Church for many years.
Gregg is predeceased by grandparents Rial and Pearl Richardson, Ronald and Verneatta Winter, Gregg’s father, Wayland Richardson and Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by his mother Joan St. Onge and brother Rick Richardson of Onsted, Michigan.
Family and friends will gather for a memorial service on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11am at Skyway Memoria Funeral Home, 5200 US Highway 19N, Palmetto.
