Harold Edward Johansen's Obituary
Harold Edward Johansen died peacefully July 5th, 2015. Ed was born in Teaneck, NJ on December 15, 1923 and graduated Teaneck High School. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, stationed in England. Ed worked for D & C Chevrolet/Honda as Service Manager and won numerous awards in recognition for outstanding performance. He served as President of the New Jersey Service Manager Council for many years. Ed was well liked and respected by his customers and coworkers. He retired in Bradenton, FL in 1984 where he was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He worked as a volunteer for Blake Medical Center for many years and was a member of the Hibiscus Society. In later years, Ed enjoyed his summers in Osage Beach, MO with his friend, Kathy Schmidt who passed away in December of 2013.
Ed is survived by his son, Keith (Grace Ann), brother, Harry and his wife Betty, sister, Ivy Schaffner, sister in law, Joan and numerous nieces and nephews. Always in his heart was his wife of 46 years, Madeline, who died in 1994.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm and burial will follow at Skyway Memorial Gardens.
