Dear Oren,
I am so sorry to learn that your mom has passed away. I remember the day you took us to your house. Helen was so warm and inviting. It was clearly obvious how much she treasured you, and I'm certain her love for you will remain in your heart and soul as a guiding light.
I will keep you in my prayers and am sending you positive energy for strength, peace, and comfort.

I have many memories of time spent at the Whightsel house. Mrs. Whightsel was a great woman, always very kind and thoughtful when I was there. Prayers for the family for peace and comfort, love you all. Debbie Schmitgen Hayes

Aunt Helen was a saint in my eyes! Know she wasn't a perfect woman but she was a loving lady who served others - her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, her friends and her neighbors. She served God faithfully for so many years through her service in her local church. She worked outside the home during many of the years that I can remember. When we would take summer vacations from Ohio to Florida, she would take a few days off so she could spend time with us. We always loved when they were traveling and stopped in Ohio to spend time with us. She and Uncle Junior were fun, loving, hospitable extended family whose lives will always be etched deep in my heart. Grandma Whightsel and my mother, Lois West, had great admiration for Uncle Jr. & Aunt Helen and they and their families will always be special to our family here in Ohio.
I look forward to seeing my sweet, dear Aunt in heaven one day. I know her trust wasn't in her own good works but in her Savior, Jesus Christ!
Love,
Tami Smith
