Herman Leo Hurst II
Born in St. Petersburg Fl. at Mound Park Hospital, now Bayfront Hospital.
Leo worked for Manatee County Utilities and retired after 27 years of service.
His hobbies including buying and sell tools and antique tools and planes and going to flea markets.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard on the Yamacraw Vessel based in Massachusetts.
Leo met his wife Joan Ruth Hurst of 54 years at St. Pete High. They married on Dec 25th 1960, a Christmas Sunday at Lake Maggiore Baptist Church in St.Pete. They were charter members of the church.
Later a member of Manatee Baptist Church when moved to Manatee County and
Columbiana Church of the Nazarene after retirement.
He is survived by 2 sons Herman Leo Hurst III (Chip) daughter in-law Pamela Dickert-Hurst and Verlin Hurst and 1 Brother James (Tiny) Hurst and several nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by His parents Herman Leo Hurst I & Virginia (Davis) Hurst, Joan Hurst his wife of 54 years, 2 sisters Addie (Sis) Fulford, and Shirley Bevard and 1 Brother Billy Hurst.
