Iris G Stripling's Obituary
Iris G. Stripling, 79, of Bradenton, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022. Iris was born on January 8, 1942 to Wilber and Kathleen Creech in Bradenton, Florida. She graduated Manatee High School in 1960 and Married the love of her life Richard Dennis Stripling on February 16, 1962. Together they built and ran multiple car washes. Iris was also the secretary and bookkeeper at Brethauer Electric. Iris was very active in Elwood Park Baptist Church, where she was the choir director for many years and was known for her dependability and sincereness. Iris will be remembered for her loving and caring personality and she would always be willing to help those around her. Iris was a devoted and caring wife and mother. She rode motorcycles but was also a southern bell; who was graceful, kind to all and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed. Left to cherish Iris’s memory are her children: Alan Stripling and his wife Wendy, Sheleen Olson and her husband Mike, and Elana Teeters and her husband Joe; grandson Cody Stripling; sister Sheila Cash and a host of other family and friends. Iris is preceded in death by her husband, R. Dennis Stripling who passed on August 1, 2021 and parents. A memorial service will be Monday January 24, 2022 at 11am at Elwood Park Baptist Church 3516 45th St E, Bradenton, FL 34208, with Pastor Tom Winter presiding. A private graveside at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto will follow.
