James E. Tinl's Obituary
James "Jim" E. Tinl, 64, of Bradenton, FL went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2014. Jim was born on January 17, 1950 to the late James H. and Bernice Tinl. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Cody. He worked as a professional painting contractor for over 30 years.
Jim was a staff sergeant in the 173d Airborne Brigade division where he proudly served his country with 3 tours in Vietnam. He was wounded in action twice to which he was awarded two purple hearts. Jim was also awarded another purple heart and a bronze star for bravery, when he was hit by shrapnel while protecting his commanding officer.
Jim is survived by his sisters Edna Sellers (Doug) and Johnnie Roberts (Bob), his sons Jimmy (Amber), Jason (Michelle), and Jesse (Dana), and his seven beloved grandchildren Tyler, Morgan, Maleah, Talon, Sierra, Abby, and Skylar. He was also a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Jim will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday 10, 2014 from 10:30am-11:45am at Skyway Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Jimmy Tinl 32050 State Road 70 East, Myakka City, FL 34251, to go towards funeral expenses.
