72, died peacefully Dec 31, 2013, at home with her family beside her. Jane was born March 25, 1941 in Steubenville, OH to Dorothy J. 'Dot' (Gamble) and James A. 'Jim' Kinney who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her husband, lover, best friend and life team mate of more than 50 years, the former Mayor Bill Evers and their three Manatee Deputy Sheriff children: Lt. Bill (Cynthia) Evers, retired Deputy Lillian (Kenny) Tuman and Deputy Cindy (Gordon Ahier) Evers. Also her sister, Karen 'Apple' (Howie) Quaas of Sarasota and brother, James Robert 'Bob' (Debbie) Kinney of Texas; uncle Tom (aunt Flo) Kinney of Sarasota; aunt Mid Kinney of Richmond, OH; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; along with the Kinney cousins in Orlando and Richmond areas; and lastly her 3 furry rescue children, Abby, Ebon, and Gooboo. Visitation 2-4PM and 6-8PM Friday January 3, 2014 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
