Jeff Williams' Obituary
Jeff Williams was born August 28, 1941 to the late George Williams and Emma Odom Williams. After Emma's death, George and Bessie Edwards Williams raised Jeff. He graduated from Lockett High School in Branchville, South Carolina on May 28, 1959. After school, Mr. Williams went on to enlist in the United States Army and fought for his country in the Vietnam War. While at war, he was wounded in battle and received the Purple Heart military decoration award. Although Mr. Williams was proud to be a soldier, he left the military on December 6, 1969. He was preceded in death by parents, Emma, George and Bessie Williams; and 5 siblings: Ida Mae Steadman, Emma Ruth Knight, Clary Lee Truewell, Johnny Williams and Joe Williams. Mr. Williams leaves to cherish his memories a sister, Albertha Williams of Palmetto, Florida; a devoted caring cousin, Johnny Rumph (wife Patrice) of Palmetto, Florida; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Viewing will be held Tuesday April 12th from 4-7pm at Skyway Memorial Funeral Home 5200 US Highway 19 Palmetto, FL 34221. Graveside service with Military Honors will be Wednesday April 13th 2022 at 9:30am at Sarasota National Cemetery 9810 State Road 72 Sarasota, FL 34241.
