Jerrold M. Shames' Obituary
Jerrold M. "Jerry" Shames, 68, of Lakewood Ranch formerly of Eatontown, NJ passed away June 30, 2013. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 1:00PM at the Temple Beth El, Bradenton with burial to follow in Skyway Memorial Gardens, Palmetto. Jerry is survived by his wife, Jean, daughter, Amy, sons, Justin and Alexander, sister, Joy, brothers, Jordan and Barry and by his two grandsons. He was treasurer and past president of Temple Beth El. He was an executive in information technology for 40 years after redirecting to the Sarasota area he became a popular host of the radio program Thought For Food broadcasted on several local AM stations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the All Faiths Food Bank or Temple Beth El.
