Jimmy Lee Stevens' Obituary
STEVENS, JIMMY L., 89, of Largo, died Thursday (January 25, 2024). Born in Pennington Gap Va., he moved to Largo in 1982 from Ellenton, Florida. He joined the Air Force in 1951 where he was a jet engine mechanic and later an instructor. He was also a Korean War Veteran. He retired from the Air Force in 1967 and went to work for NCR in Dayton, Ohio and then went to work for the Post Office. He moved to Florida in 1975 and worked for Stevens Lighting. He also volunteered for the Largo Police Department. He is survived by his son Mark Stevens and daughter Mary Bishop, his brother Richard Stevens and sister Vickie Chavers, grandson Cody Bishop and granddaughter Stephanie Bishop, and great grandsons Braden Bishop and Malakai Novoa. Burial at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, Florida.
