Ms. Joretta Iliff's Obituary
Joretta (Jo) Yochum Iliff, 86, passed away at home on February 24, 2018 in Tallahassee, FL surrounded by her family, friends and beloved cats. She was born on May 12, 1931 in Sabina, OH. She completed her nursing certificate at Bethesda School of Nursing in 1952 and worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. After her retirement she volunteered at the Women’s Resource Center in Bradenton and Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee in addition to helping and caring for family and friends and participating in the Osher Life-long Learning Institute at Florida State University.
Jo was predeceased by her husband Roy Iliff, her parents Leonard and Thelma Gayman Yochum, adoptive mother Frieda Osborne Yochum, and her sisters Doramae Y. Bailey and Shirley Y. Treweek.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Fuller (adopted by James and Dorothy McCann) of California, Penny Iliff (Patricia Durst) of Pennsylvania, son Bill Iliff of Tallahassee, grandchildren Laura and Megan Fuller, Haley, Chloe and Parker Iliff and Jadyn Durst.
Services will be held at Skyway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel on Wednesday Feb 28th: visitation at 1:00pm and funeral service 2:00pm followed by entombment.
